Jeff Daniels hopes Trump supporters will lose “a lot of money” amid rising costs

Actor Jeff Daniels said in a new interview that Republicans voted for president. Donald Trump You’ll lose a lot of money.
“But when Mitch (McConnell) started stacking courts 25 years ago, I said it once on your show, they can see it coming,” Daniels told Nicole Wallace. In the episode from her podcast, “The Best People.” “The new America, which is diverse and treats everyone with equality, respect and dignity, is like Jesus did. We are ready to do that.”

“I hope you’re losing a lot of money, your people who thought this was okay,” continued Daniels. “My question is, what are you guys going to do about it?”
Wallace replied, emphasizing how to do it. Trump beat Michigan Stateand condemned the president’s tariffs.
“So Michigan has voted for Trump again this time,” Wallace said. “I mean, tariffs will hurt your neighbors, they will hurt.”
Daniels agreed, saying he believes Trump’s tariffs will be the most damaging to the 47th President.

“I think that’s what we’re trying to do at the end of the day,” Daniels said. “Wait a second, what’s your grocery bill? Is it another $180? We won’t be able to get the car we have unless we pay $8,000 more. One person.”
Wallace said the country has seen a loss of “good sense” in wanting more affordable products.
“And I feel that when some of the conversations we have had over the past five or six years are between decency, not between the right and the left, and perhaps about the cost of things, decency has become an extravagant.
“Do you think it really happened? Cheaper eggs” Wallace asked Daniels.

“Well, I think it’s just the price of eggs at the end of the day, but that went up and down, because he said he’d lower the price of eggs or my groceries bill,” Daniels said.
He went on to call the president “snake oil salesman.”
