Almost 20 years later Florida women Authorities, who disappeared from her apartment without traces, have announced a new break that can bring new life to the cold previous cases.
Jennifer Kesse, 24, disappeared from her Orlando Condominium Complex After departing for work on the morning of January 24, 2006, both state and federal investigators were confused when authorities raced to catch her aid.
“About an hour and a half until work day, I got a call from her job,” Jennifer’s father, Drew Kesse, told Fox News Digital. “And they said, “Hey, Jennifer held a meeting this morning. She’s definitely hers to show up. Do you know where she is?”

Kesse immediately tried to reach his daughter – relying on the family’s rule that they always answer each other’s calls – her phone went straight to voicemail.
“I knew right away something was wrong,” Kesse said.
Kesse and his wife Joyce quickly drove in a two-hour drive from their Tampa home to Orlando, where they found their daughter’s apartment empty.

The parents immediately called Orlando police and reported that Jennifer was missing.
“They looked around her apartment and shrugged, “She probably fought her boyfriend, she’ll come back,” Kesse said. “They left. That was Jennifer’s last chance.”
More than a decade later, the family filed a lawsuit against the city of Orlando, the OPD and the mayor’s office, citing a sedative investigation of Kesse’s loss of failure and demanding documents related to the search.

The OPD, the city of Orlando and the mayor’s offices did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
The lawsuit gave the first successful request for records, including ongoing cases, passing over 16,000 pages of material involved in the investigation. Drew Kesse has edited a team of 13 members of law enforcement, including former US Secret Service and FBI agents, to continue searching for her daughter.

In November 2022, Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) took over casethe lead to Kesse’s disappearance is finally running in the cold.
Last month, when Kesse received a call from Fdle, investigators told him they had obtained evidence of new DNA and used a list compiled by Kesse’s team to narrow down the people they were interested.

“(fdle) said he doesn’t think Jennifer’s case is cold anymore,” Kesse said. “It’s active. They’re based on what they need to do and I really believe they’re getting somewhere.”
Fdle declined to request Fox News Digital’s comment, citing ongoing investigations.

Additionally, two witnesses previously reported seeing Jennifer and one man fighting while in the front seat of her black Chevrolet Malibu.
