John Cena swipes at The Rock and Travis Scott Scott in the final promotion before Summer Slam

John Cena It seemed to have come to his senses more than 48 hours ago before defending the indisputable WWE Championship with Cody Rhodes at Summer Slam in Street Fight.

Cena has been the villain ever since working with Lock and Travis Scott in the Elimination Chamber in February. He then kicked Rhodes at the gro caliber and got Scott’s help. WrestleMania 41 Most in WWE history to defeat Rhodes in his 17th Championship reign.

On Friday’s edition of “Smackdown,” the crowd packed with Newark’s Prudential Center got the classic Cena promotion. He thanked Rhodes for pulling him out of his bad Guy persona, declaring that he would not try to ruin wrestling any more, and instead wanted to take the belt with him when he left WWE.

Cena said Rhodes’ beatdown gave him the butt kick he needed to dig into and find himself, and also had subtle shots of Rock and Scott.

Rhodes could only smile.
