Juan Soto only spent one season with the New York Yankee Spin Stripes.
After helping the Yankees advance to the 2024 World Series, Soto switched New York City boroughs to sign Historical Contract With Mets.
Mets On Friday night, I held a 3-game series with the Yankees.
Soto’s first at-bat was attracting attention while the Yankees jumped for a 4-0 lead. The latest edition of the subway series marked the first performance at Yankee Stadium since Soto signed with the Mets.

Soto heard some big boos as he headed to the batsman’s box in the first innings Friday night. Many fans in the stadium stood up and shook Soto.
The 26-year-old right fielder appeared to be roaming the disapproval of fans and took a little time to tilt his helmet to the crowd.
Soto seemed to say “thank you” again.
He eventually stepped into the batsman’s box and went for a walk. More boo-ins seemed to rain as he acquired the right field in the bottom half of the innings.

Before Friday’s match, Soto spoke about the possibility that fans could boo him. However, it didn’t seem to wet the slugger’s excitement about returning to the Bronx.
“I don’t care” Soto I told the athletic.
Before the 2025 regular season began, Soto admitted that he “hoping for the worst” from the Yankees loyal guy when he visited Yankee Stadium.
“You know Yankees fans. They can surprise you with anything.” MLB All Stars I said it in March.

Yankees Manager Aaron Boone gained a cautious tone leading up to Friday’s matchup, advised fans “not to take things too far.”
“It’s interesting. I’m sure there’s creativity there,” Boone said before the match. “We just want everyone to come, have a good time, be safe and not take things too far.”
Soto urged the Yankees in support of a 15-year, $765 million contract with the Mets in December. A contract that does not include deferred money is the most profitable contract in the history of professional sports.

Soto finished a lonely season with 41 home runs and an average of .288 batting for the Yankees. The right fielder hit eight homers in 43 games against the Mets this season.
