Jumbo and Heineken reach a commercial agreement after the price spits out


Dutch supermarket chains Jumbo and Heineken established a commercial agreement and resolved a pricing dispute in the Netherlands earlier this year.

In May, Heineken took Jumbo to court via a retailer who halted orders for some of the brewer’s brand.

“Jumbo and Heineken Netherlands reached a commercial agreement in 2025,” Heineken said in a statement.

The group added: “From Heineken, Amstel and Texels to Afrigem, Dutch consumers can re-access to their favorite beers at Jumbo. Jumbo has been a valuable partner in Heineken, Netherlands for many years and we look forward to continuing our long-standing collaboration.”

In May, Amstel makers said Dutch retailers had suspended orders for “a large portion of our product range.”

“Jumbo ignored multiple requests from Heineken Netherlands as normal and reopened the orders to respect our agreement,” Heineken said.
