Katy Perry among all female crews launched into space by a blue origin rocket


Blue Origin Rocket Katy Perry and historic all-female crew arrived safely Monday after a 10-minute flight.

Perry traveled on Blue Origin’s new Shepherd Mission, NS-31. Jeff Bezos’ Fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, television host Gayle King, film producer Kerianne Flynn, NASA Rocket Scientist Aisha Bowe, and civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen.

Several celebrities were attending the event, including King’s best friend Oprah. The mission was 10 minutes and 21 seconds.

“The crew capsule reached apogee at 346,802 feet AGL/350,449 feet MSL (106 km AGL/107 km MSL),” Blue Origin wrote to X. 8:30:00 AM CDT / 13:30:00 UTC.

Perry explained why she sang “What a Wonderful World” after she returned to Texas on a Blue Origin rocket with an all-female crew.

“It’s not about me. It’s about singing my songs, it’s about the collective energy there, it’s about us, it’s about space and belongings for future women, it’s about this wonderful world that we’re looking at right away and grateful for,” Perry said. “This is all for the benefit of the earth.”

Perry showed the daisy flowers she carried with her Into space In honor of Daisy, her four-year-old daughter she shares with Orlando Bloom. Perry’s husband and daughter attended the launch.

“I feel very connected to love,” Perry said when asked about Daisy. “I think this experience showed me that I never know how much love you have to give and how much love you are within you, such as how much love you are, until you launch it.”

“Daips are common flowers, but they grow in any condition,” she said. “They grow through cement, they grow through cracks, they grow through walls. They are resilient. They are strong, they are everywhere. Flowers are God’s smiles for me, but it’s our reminder Beautiful Earthand the flowers here, the smiles of God, and the beautiful magic of simple daisies everywhere around us. So, be really grateful for it, remember it, take care of it, protect it. ”

Perry said the experience of going to space was “second to be a mom.”

“That’s why it was hard for me to go, because that’s all my love and I have to surrender and trust that the universe will take care of me, protect me, my family and my daughter,” Perry said.

Fearing flying, King said the instructor described her as “the best success story.”

“I’m so proud of me right now,” King said after the touchdown.

“It’s strangely quiet when you get there,” the TV personality said of reaching the space. “It’s really quiet and peaceful, and you look down at the planet and think, ‘Where did we come from?’ For me, it’s a reminder of how we need to do better.

“It’s so annoying these days and Vitrios,” King said. “If everyone can experience the peace we had there, the kindness and what it takes to do what we did, all those people who took us there and brought us back to safety will never forget.”
