Katy Perry, Lauren Sanchez and Gale King are heading to space
Blue Origin, a space company founded by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, is All female crew On the next space flight. The American spacecraft company said the 11th Human mission includes Bezos’ fiancee and former journalist Lauren Sanchez, CBS host Gale King and pop singer Katy Perry. The NS-31 mission also includes NASA rocket scientist Aishabo, bioastronautix research scientist Amanda Nuguen, and film producer Kellianne Flynn.
The mission was part of Blue Origin’s new Shepard program, which flew 52 people over the Kármán line, the internationally recognized boundary of space around 62 miles on Earth. According to Blue Origin Websiteastronauts rise towards space at more than three times the speed of sound. Once they pass the line, the crew unleashes the buckle and goes weightless before returning to Earth.

The flight, which will be released someday this spring, marks the first all-female flight crew since the solo space flight of Russian engineer Valentina Tereshkova in 1963.
Blue Origins took many notable names on Earth before, including actors William ShatnerGood Morning America hosts and retired NFL players Michael Strahan and Bezos himself.
