However, Green and Brooks, two key pieces of the Resugent Rockets team last season (a tough Western Conference record of 52-30), are heading for Phoenix in return.

However, Houston is currently expected to become a Western candidate with Durant’s arrival. The Rockets are a team looking for a true scorer, and the four-time scoring champion is the one who can provide it when they’re healthy.
Durant earned his 15th All-Star bid after averaging 26.6 points, six rebounds and 4.2 assists per game while shooting 52.7% and 43.0% from the field over the 3-point line in 62 regular-season games.
Durant will turn 37, when his 18th NBA season begins later this year, but he has consistently shown to be a monster on the offensive edge and cannot slow down anytime soon.

The question is whether the Rockets can continue to compete with Western teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets, Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, who won the NBA Finals.
