Lamine Yamal was humbled to copy Lionel Messi and Neymar to inspire their kids


Ramin Yamal is humbled in following in the footsteps of Lionel Messi and Neymar Children who love soccer.

The 17-year-old is still in the early stages of his career, but he appeared on the global stage after Spain won the Euro 2024 last summer.

Yamal scored 14 goals and added 22 assists, with Hanshiflik’s side still chasing silverware on three fronts.

A busy week in Yamal and Barcelona

Yamal grew up 30 kilometres north of Barcelona and admits that it is incredibly incredible that his children are now wearing shirts with their backs.

He told ESPN:

“My mom always tells me to think about (importance). It’s not just anyone going somewhere and seeing a child wearing your shirt. It makes me so happy and it’s one of my favorite things.”

Yamal’s parents keep him grounded

Yamal’s profile has skyrocketed over the past two years, and he admits he relies on relying on him to continue to ground despite the obvious temptations of his parents.

He added: “My parents were all my references. Everyone always says I have a bit of a bit of a mom and a little bit of a dad. I think there are a lot of dads on the pitch and I’m off the pitch.

“They were the two I grew up and they taught me everything. They’ve fought for me. I can’t imagine the love my father has for me. Thanks to him, he learned the love he has in his family.

“So I believe everything I have and what I have is because of them. I always say I can never be completely grateful to them, but I will give it a try.”
