“Last Pay Check”: Richardson Hitchens predicts the future of boxing George Cambosos Jr.
IBF Light Welterweight Champion Richardson Hitchens says he’s watching George Cambosos Jr. “Completed butt” And he plans to send him back to the Australian “club show” circuit after beating him on June 14th at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York City. Hitchens (19-0, 7 kos) says this will be Cambosos Jr. “Last salary” In sports.
Cambosus’ wealth
If this is the small “Emperor” Cambosos of boxing’s ‘last pay, he would be fine as he is already very wealthy from the fight against Theofimo Lopez, Devin Haney X2 and Vasily Lomachenko. Kambosos Jr (22-3, 10 Kos) won millions from those fights, and one of these four matches he won was against Teofimo. The fight paved the way for George to steal millions of banks from the battle with Honey and Lomachenko.
The 27-year-old Hitchens picked a hand-brighting Cambossos for his first defense of his IBF 140-lb title, despite the Australian having a low 2-3 record in his final five fights. In the truest sense, he’s talking about Cambosos Jr., who will be taking part in the fight against the Hitchens on a 1-4 record since 2022.
Hitchens should fight against better opposition than this, like his IBF mandatory Sabrielle Mattias, WBA champion Gary Anchanne Russell, or WBC champion Alberto Puero. Those people will be a real threat to Hitchens. So it makes sense for him to play it safely and fight Cambosos in an in-house show promoted in the matchroom.
Today’s rocks
“As a fighter, I feel he’s a butt. He’s a finished butt. I like to call George Cambosos of Rocky today. All the fights, he’s bloody and ugly, but he’s a warrior,” Richardson Hitchens said. Ring Magazine On June 14th, his next fight against former unified lightweight champion George Cambosos Jr.
Cambosos makes far more money than Hitchens has in his career. It is unknown that Hitchens will be able to acquire the kind of fabric that Cambosos Jr. has without getting a big name to fight him. The problem Hitchens has is his fighting style. He’s a defensive and safe type, which makes him similar to Shakur Stephenson, the avoided man.
“This fight here. He thought (Vasily) Lomachenko had done something to him,” Hitchens said of Kambosos Jr. welterweight champion Liam (Paro) was talking. ”
No one doubts that Hitchens will defeat Cambosos. It’s a paper mismatch and it’s a match that shouldn’t happen. #3 IBF Kambosos doesn’t deserve to fight for the title at 140 after one fight in the light welterweight division against non-competitor Jake Wyllie. A candidate with a record of 2-3 is not challenging for a world title.
Better options
Again, the Hitchens should fight one of the champions, Russell or Puero. Otherwise, he should have chosen one of these respectable candidates.

“Liam was talking all of that, but once he got there he was worried, so it’s going to happen to this guy. George Cambosos is over,” Richardson said. “This is his last paycheck for boxing. After this he was put here. When I first saw him fight, I said he wasn’t good, but I can’t take away his trust from him.
