Late Carbony’s goal ends Nerazzuri’s night of frustration

Valentin Carbony scored the winner of the last gasp, breaking Urawa Reds Heart and moved Inter Milan to the top of Group E at the Club World Cup.

It looked like an afternoon of frustration for the Serie A. Side, who struggled after falling behind Watanabe’s opening game in Seattle.

However, Lautaro Martinez got an epic 12-minute equalizer, and the efforts that creeped up at the time that stopped Carbony’s scuffing resolved a low-quality encounter and eliminated the Japanese side.

Intervos won the first half without creating many opportunities.

The possibilities they did have been wasted, and despite spending much of their 45 minutes on their backs, they paid a ruthless price in Urawa by comparison.

Nerazzurri began brightly, and only two minutes passed as Nicola Zalewski’s cross was a few inches away from Sebastian Esposito in Far Post.

Inter continued camping at the edge of the Urawa area, only to be caught by a sucker punch 11 minutes later.

Watanabe stuns Intel

The Ogawa Hut beat the man to the right, and his reduction was perfect for Watanabe to pass Yang Somer.

Inter hadn’t run the ball, and another goal-mouth scramble failed to equalize the equalization four minutes after Luis Henrique and Carlos Augusto denied.

Intel’s complaints were growing as Martinez approached with a crashed header from the crossbar.

The second half continued with a similar vein by dominating the ball, but managed half the chances.

Chrisjan Aslani shot hard from the edge of the area, while Federico di Marco made his trademark efforts on the bar.

And, as we did in the first half, Urawa was threatened at the counter.

They could have doubled their advantage after 69 minutes with three breaks led by Watanabe-san. The forward was supposed to play as a teammate, but chose to film, and his efforts flew across Somer’s crossbar.

Martinez and Carboni have the final say

As Inter’s pressure was finally spoken, it was to prove a pivotal moment.

It seemed less dangerous when another corner jumped into the Urawa region, but Argentine star Martinez somehow produced an overhead kick that passed goalkeeper Nishikawa Nishikawa and defender.

It seemed Urawa had done enough to score points – and to give their raucous fans their commitment to what they definitely deserve – a bowling ball in the area fell to Carboni’s feet and he placed the shot in the lower left corner.
