Lattin Coffee, China’s largest coffee chain, opens its first location in the US

The trade war has earned most headlines, but another battle is fostering between China and the US over the café of consumers.

Lucky Coffee, the largest coffee chain in China, has opened Location pair In New York. And it could put more emphasis on Starbucks’ continued turnaround plan. This is because it grew to surpass that Chinese company at 22,000 locations.

Founded in 2017, Luckin offers primarily scaled stores, rather than coffee houses designed to last longer customers. There is a take-out booth that accepts cashless payments. The lower footprint reduced the cost, allowing Luckin to offer regular coffee house staples at a lower price than Starbucks.
