Lavrov Signals Russia is ready to sign a deal to end the bloody war in Ukraine
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the Kremlin is “ready to reach the deal.” War in Ukrainehas been furious for over three years.

Trump tells Putin to “stop” after a fatal Russian strike against Kiev
Lavrov’s comments came after Trump criticized the Russian president Vladimir Putin He then demanded that he cease the fatal strike in Ukraine.
“I’m not satisfied with the Russian strike in Kiev. It’s not necessary, it’s very bad timing. Vladimir, stop it! 5,000 soldiers are dying every week. Let’s end the peace agreement,” Trump wrote.

Putin has yet to agree with the US proposal to stop the war, so it remains unclear what will force him to sign the deal. However, the Trump administration remains optimistic about its efforts to end the deadly conflict.
Speaking to reporters in the oval office on Thursday, Trump said that both Ukraine and Russia “want peace now” and that “they are ready to do something.” He then asked Secretary of State Marco Rubio to consider his position in peace talks.

“This war will be eternal. Both sides must agree,” Rubio told reporters. He also said there was a “good meeting over the weekend” and it was probably focused on ending the conflict.
Rubio added that the outcome of Russia’s fatal strike against Ukraine should remind the world why it is so important to see peace in the region.
