Legendary musician Phil Collins is tackling hospice rumors

Phil Collins I’m hospitalized, but I’m not a terminal illness.

Despite swirling online rumours that have sparked concerns among fans, the legendary Genesis frontman, 74, is currently recovering from knee surgery and is not receiving hospice care, his representative said people.

Speculation that Collins is in the hospice is “completely wrong,” his representative revealed.

Collins representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Rumors about Collins, recognized by hospice care, comes after he was opened up about his health challenges earlier this year.

In February, Collins shared in an interview Mojo He is not “hunger” to make new music due to ongoing health issues. In 2022, the legendary musician revealed that he was unable to play the drums because it was too difficult to pick up the drumsticks.

“I think I should go downstairs to the studio and see what happens. But I’m not hungry for that anymore. I mean I was sick. I’m very sick,” Collins said.

The latest original work Collins did was in 2002 for his solo album, Testify. In 2010 he released “Going Back,” which consists of covers from Motown, but since then he hasn’t released anything.

Genisis took part in the tour in 2022, with Collins taking part. He sat in a chair to sing during the performance, and his son Nick played the drums.

“It comes from years of performance,” he said. “I can’t even hold the stick properly without pain. I would tape the stick in my hand and pass.”

Collins joined Genesis in 1970, and the band was head-on by singer-songwriter Peter Gabriel. In 1975, Gabriel left the band, and Collins took over as lead singer and Faith for Genesis.

In 1996, Collins officially left the band and pursued a solo career, but achieved massive solo success in the 1980s.
