Levine Leichtman Capital Partners Get Shipley Do-Nuts


Shipley Do-Nuts, a US-based donut and colach brand, has been acquired by Peak Rock Capital’s private equity company Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP).

The executive team of Shipley Do-Nuts, led by CEO Flynn Dekker, continues to operate its Houston headquarters.

In January 2021, Peakrock Capital acquired a majority stake in Shipley from its original ownership family.

Shipley operates over 375 locations in 14 US states and offers over 60 types of donuts and colaches. And coffee.

The Shipley acquisition represents the fourth platform investment in LLCP’s Fund VII. LLCP’s portfolio includes investments in brands such as Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Hand & Stone.

LLCP legal advice was provided by Kirkland & Ellis and DLA Piper, and Shipley received guidance from North Point and JP Morgan.
