LSU defeats Coastal Carolina to win the NCAA Baseball Championship

LSU Tigers It’s one more time as the NCAA baseball champions wiped out the three-man Men’s College World Series Finals, beating Coast Carolina 5-3 on Sunday.

With the bass loaded, Chris Stanfield singled two runs home to get a 3-1 lead, while Derek Culiel scored runners at 2nd and 3rd on another single.

The Chanticleers weren’t coming out completely after Wells Sykes cut the deficit to two runs by hitting a 2-run homer at the bottom of the seventh.

However, after reassuring Anthony Aianson, who has now made it 6.1 innings, the Chase Shores closed the door to Coastal Carolina’s wishes and hit a nine on a 99-pitch outing.

The Shores gave up just one hit and hit four batters in 2.2 innings on the bump.

LSU has won two of its past three College World Series as it rolled out its trophy in 2023.
