Luis Diaz declares happiness in Liverpool in Barcelona talk

Louis Diaz is “really happy” at Liverpool amid speculation about his future as a Premier League champion.

Diaz scored 17 goals and provided five assists in all competitions from 2024-25.

Diaz’s goal 13 helped Liverpool secure a record 20th English League title and lift the Premier League trophy.

Diaz is on a contract with Liverpool until the end of the 2026-27 season, but is linked to a remote move.

Barcelona is a fan of Colombia International and Saudi Arabia’s Alnasle is also recognized as interested in his services.

However, in an interview with Liverpool’s official website, Diaz revealed that she was happy with her life in Anfield.

“I feel like I’m going through a really good time,” Diaz said. “I am truly pleased to be here and be part of this amazing institution, this amazing club and have some great teammates around me.

“From the moment I arrived, I felt a great deal of pride. I’ve always wanted to work hard for this, and to see what’s been going on for me, I’m fulfilling my pride. That’s why I’m so happy because I’m working.

“(But) we’re no body without teammates. We’re a team. Forwards and wingers are always trying to help with goals and support.

“It’s about playing and then playing well, playing as usual and having fun supporting the team.”

Liverpool won the title in April by winning Tottenham 5-1.

Asked about his feelings that day, Diaz said: “I remembered a lot since I was a kid.

“I wanted to play for a big team, I dreamed of playing in the Premier League and playing for a key club like Liverpool.

“And because I have gone through a lot of tough situations, being here today and winning the Premier League title means you remember a lot and I am happy about it.

“I don’t think anyone believed us (at the beginning of the season), and we have shown us from the beginning of the season that we were daytime during the day.

“We started to get results and obviously started moving forward. We learned to believe what we had, what our managers asked us and the team, the team is of high quality and full of great players, which makes things a little easier.

“And the outcome helps 100%. Then you have more motivations, you work harder and that’s what I think happened.”
