After covering the 2,000-yard rush mark during the 2024 regular season, Saquon Berkley Covers athletes For “Madden NFL 26”.

Berkley signed Philadelphia Eagles The last offseason. His historic first year in Philadelphia won him Pro Bowl and All-Pro honours. On all accounts, the 28-year-old enters the 2025 season at the height of his career. However, the running star recently hinted that when he finally left the game, it could be abrupt.

He recently appeared in former NFL player Chris Long “Green Light Podcast” Barkley was asked if he would leave while he was still at the peak of his career, or if he would stick.

“I’ll probably be one of those people out of nowhere,” Berkley replied regarding his final retirement. “Whether next year, two or four years, I’ll wake up one day and say, ‘Yeah, it’s over’ I don’t think I’ll lose that passion. ”

Barkley then quoted the Pro Football Hall of Fame Barry Sanders’ shocking decision NFL 1998.

“The competitive nature is always there. I’m probably Barry Sanders, my favorite player, and maybe it’s similar to that. Perhaps one day, it’s out of nowhere, I’ll probably become Balin, and then I’ll probably be like, ‘Yeah, stop it.’ ”

Sanders earned 15,269 career rushing yards before suddenly retiring. He needed under 1,500 yards to catch up with Walter Payton’s then-rushing record. Dallas Cowboys Great Emmit Smith is currently sitting on the league’s history list.

The Eagles rewarded Berklee’s productive 2024 campaign with a lucrative two-year contract extension. Barkley took part in the 2025 campaign with 7,216 career rushing yards, and was a key part of the Eagles Super Bowl LIX title run.

Barkley was praised for seven NFL seasons, and Sanders played in the league for a total of 10 years.
