MadeGood Granola Bars reminded me of concerns about metal pollution

a Food distributor Officials recall certain batches of granola bars due to potential contamination involving metal objects.
The recall initiated by Riverside Natural Foods Inc. is MadeGood Granola Bars. It first launched on December 9th, and according to Today.com, the recall will affect over 2 million granola bars.
The bars are “recalled because there may be metal fragments in the product, which could pose a safety hazard if consumed,” the company’s statement said. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) On February 11th, the recall risk level was raised to Class II. This is the second highest risk classification.
Class II recalls include products that are “are likely to cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health effects, or are far away with the probability of serious adverse effects.”

The next flavors of granola bar will be affected:
- Chocolate chip granola bar
- Mixed Berry Granola Bar
- Strawberry Granola Bar
- Cookies and cream granola bar
- Chocolate Banana Granola Bar
- Chocolate-dried birthday cake granola bar
- Cookie Crumble Granola Bar with light rain chocolate
- Chocolate drizzled vanilla granola bar
“Riverside conducted extensive investigations on which the recalled products were manufactured to identify the source of the manufacturing process problems,” Riverside Natural Foods said. “We have improved the issue and tested new processes to ensure that future risks are completely mitigated.”
“Consumers who purchase these products are asked to check them against the list and return the recalled products to the store where they purchased them for a full refund.”

According to the recall page, Riverside Natural Foods is a family-owned business, and “access to good food becomes a reality for everyone to inspire a healthier and caring world.”
