Maher, Hunt Slam Whoopi Goldberg for a comparison of black Americans and Iranian regimes

“Real-Time” Host Bill Maher And R-Texas’ Rep. Wesley Hunt hit “The View” with Whoopi Goldberg on Friday, hitting “The View” after claiming that black Americans are on par with women living under Iran’s oppressive theories regime.

Maher argued that the New York Times took a more “not a wise liberal, not a crazy awakening” position on transgender issues, and that Democrats have taken a step “returning to their sanity.”

He then insisted that the second step Democrats should take is to “do something.”View‘”After Goldberg’s comments comparing the lives of black Americans living under the brutal regime of Iran.

Goldberg sparked backlash Wednesday amid a heated debate with fellow “The View” Alyssa Farah Griffin. Griffin detailed many of the human rights abuses committed by the Iranian Ayatollah regime, including the execution of gays and the imprisonment of women who have found their hair and go outside.

Maher laughed at Goldberg’s comments comparing the lives of black Americans to life in Iran, joking that Democrats “need to do something about their “view.”

“Don’t do that. If you start, we were known in this country to tie gays to cars. Listen, sorry, they were just keeping black people hanging,” Goldberg said Griffin pushed backwards and the situation couldn’t be matched.

Hunt shot down the assessment of life in America for black people and noted the success he found in America as a black person.

“My district in the great state of Texas is actually a white majority district where President Trump scored 25 points. As I said, I am a direct descendant of slaves, my great grandfather, and he is judged by the content of my character, not the color of his skin,” he explained.

Hunt continues, “Because it’s progress — just like many white people had to vote for me — a lot of things. So, I don’t want to hear Whoopi Goldberg’s conversations about how bad it is to be black in America right now.”

The Texas House of Representatives also pointed out that his father, who grew up under Jim Crow, was the father of a US lawmaker in a white majority district who ran as a Republican.

“It’s America,” Hunt said.

Hunt pushed back Goldberg’s comments and looked at his success as a black US lawmaker in Texas’ White Majority district.
