Man indicted for allegedly hiding a homemade bomb on a New York subway truck and rooftop

New York man It faces federal fees after allegedly building and hiding homemade bombs across Manhattan, including active subway tracks and residential roofs.

Michael Gann, 55, of Inwood, was charged Tuesday with manufacturing at least seven improvised explosive devices (IEDs) using chemicals he purchased online. US lawyers for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton.

“Safety for New Yorkers is paramount,” Clayton said.

Authorities say alleged cancer actions include throwing IEDs on the subway tracks at Williamsburg Bridge and stocking up on explosives with shotgun shells on top of their Manhattan apartment.

He was arrested on June 5th with another device, officials said. On the same day, Gann reportedly posted on Instagram, “Who would you like to go out and play like tomorrow?”

FBI Assistant Director Christopher Leia praised the “speech partnership” between agencies to stop cancer before causing harm. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tish said the coordinated efforts “intervened before he caused any harm.”

The case is being charged by the National Security and International Drugs Force of US Attorneys.
