Marmoush Hat-Trick helps champions win comfortably
Manchester City won Newcastle 4-0 at Etihad, with Omar Marmash stealing the show with a spectacular first half hat trick.
A slow goal from James McAtee concluded the dominant performance from Pep Guardiola’s side.
City began the game confidently after losing to Real Madrid on Tuesday, taking control of ownership over the Magpie.
The Deadlock broke in the 19th minute thanks to a great play from goalkeeper Ederson. The Brazilians began a pinpoint pass at the top of Newcastle’s defense and boldly found Marmash.
The Egyptian forward lifted Martin Devravka’s sublime finish to open the score, and controlled the ball with ease before registering his first Premier League goal.
Supported by his opener, Marmash doubled his tally after just five minutes. Ilkay Gundogan was an instrument that spiked forward before picking a teammate at the edge of the box. Marmash touched and then unleashed a low drive that had defeated Dubravuka with a nearby post, making him firmly in control of the city.
The 24-year-old completed a hat-trick in the 33rd minute. A constant threat on his right flank, Sabigno passed Lewis Hall before returning the ball to the area.
Marmash arrived unmarked and passed the helpless Newcastle goalkeeper 3-0, closing off a first half performance from the hosts.

Eddie Howe’s side was overwhelmed and unable to create a meaningful opportunity for attack.
Alexander Isaac and Anthony Gordon remained in segregation, with Bruno Guimaras and Joe Wilk having a hard time gaining footing in the middle.
Newcastle managed only one shot on target. This was the speculative effort of alternative Louis Miley at the 60th minute, and Ederson was treated easily.
Manchester City closed the victory in the 84th minute with a fourth goal. Gundogan’s corner bursts into Ehring Haaland and finds James McAtee in space. The youngster responded instinctively, returning home from close range to score his first Premier League goal, creating a victory that emphasized his finishing touch.
The only downside for the city was the concern of a slow injury for Haaland, who limped after an obvious contactless knee problem. Guardiola wants positive news from his star striker in the key Champions League quarterfinals with Real Madrid, which is looming.
The victory has led City to fourth in the Premier League table, three points behind third-place Nottingham Forest. Their attention will turn into a European clash with Real Madrid before a highly anticipated showdown with Liverpool next weekend.
For Newcastle, the unfortunate night will remain seventh in the rankings, with important equipment for Nottingham Forest in eight days.
