Later that day, officers found a vehicle that matched the suspect’s description. A short car chase followed before six women got out of their car and ran to a nearby wooded area. One suspect was arrested at the time, according to Norwood police.

Authorities found the woman was linked and some of the suspects had warrants from other states for similar crimes, according to Norwood police.

Six women in custody were taken to court on Monday for a ruling. Three women were then released on bail and immediately taken into custody. Immigration and customs enforcement (ice). Norwood police said two men who arrived at court to put in bail were also taken to ice custody.

“The preliminary investigation is said to be part of an organized group in which the suspects engage in similar criminal activities in multiple states,” the Norwood Police Department said. “Everything is related, including the two men who arrived to post bail.”

The case is under investigation and the Norwood Police Department is actively working with other jurisdictions.
