Masters: Bernhardlanger missed a putt and then cut in one stroke
Bernhard Langer was one stroke from history Master Friday.
The 67-year-old Langer remained two overs on Augusta National’s 18th hole, staying under the projected cut line and needed to become the oldest player to make the cut. The History of Masters.
Langer hit the fairway in par 4 18th place, but his approach shot fell off the green side and tumbled into the seating area.

As Langer walked to the ball he received a standing ovation from fans who paid tribute to the 1985 and 1993 Masters champions. He announced this year’s tournament will be the final appearance of the competition at Augusta.
Langer missed his third shot past the green fringe, leaving behind a long putt. It was good, but not enough. It rolled Just passing the hole And I missed just a little bit of par needed to make the cut.
Langer tapped for a bogey and finally walked from the 18th green as another applause competitor. When he left, he was greeted by the winner of his family and fellow masters.

Langer spoke about what he felt over the past few days.
“I’m grateful. It was a huge deal to be here 41 times,” the round told ESPN after the round.
Langer said the support he received from his fans and his family was “incredible.”

Langer made his Masters debut in 1982 as the first participant in a well-known German tournament.
