McDonald’s is shutting down COSMC location

McDonald’s spinoff COSMC has closed five locations.
Fast Food Giant On Friday, the five standalone COSMC locations in which it operates would close the doors from late June as part of the “next test phase.”
“Based on insights from the pilot stand-alone location, COSMC’s flavors will land at McDonald’s as part of upcoming US beverage testing,” McDonald said.

The announcement of the upcoming COSMC closure is almost a year and a half after McDonald debuted his first drink-focused spinoff in an early location in the Chicago suburbs, then opened a handful of others in Texas.

“The main goal of the COSMC test was to create a launchpad for learning the McDonald’s system, and the insights we gathered gave us a whole new way to get closer to our fans,” McDonald said.
COSMC has allowed McDonald’s to “test new, bold flavours and a variety of technologies and processes without affecting the existing McDonald’s experiences of customers and crew.

Spin-offs that focus primarily Customizable beveragesAs part of the planned closure, the operation of loyalty programs, mobile apps and online orders will be suspended on June 23, according to a notification on the COSMC website.

McDonald’s previously indicated that it would include COSMC-inspired drinks in future beverage tests scheduled to be conducted in the US.
In early May, CEO Chris Kempczinski said: Fast Food Giant We are embarking on “Drink Testing in the US at some of the existing McDonald’s restaurants that incorporate new menu items inspired by COSMC.”

That beverage test is expected to be “in collaboration with franchisees later this year,” and the CEO of McDonalds said he will “share more details about this as I continue to test, learn and position myself for growth in this field.”
McDonald’s employment surges have long hours at most US locations this summer
