McTominay Goal Hands Napoli Serie Title despite pressure from Intermilan

Napoli crowned the winner of Serie A after beating Cagliari 2-0 in front of the packed Armando Maradona Stadium.

Naples may have been mistaken for a full-time earthquake after Antonio Conte’s men secured the Italian crown and stripped off Inter Milan.

Despite the Champions League finalists easing away from Como and away from home, this was a routine victory for the newly crowned champion.

Like 0-2 Inter Milan

Inter Milan concluded the Serie A campaign with a 2-0 victory with 10 Como, but their title hopes were shattered in the process.

Simone Inzaghi’s team made a 20-minute breakthrough with Stefan De Vrij from the Hakan Calhanoglu corner with headers.

Inter dominated most of the first half and their control grew when Como goalkeeper Pepe Reina was sent off before halftime during his final competitive match before resignation.

Despite Mann’s advantage, Inter remained cautiously with a one-eye break in the Champions League final.

However, they doubled the lead right after a reboot. Joaquin Correa received a clever pass from Taremi in the box, cut it over his left foot and curled the composed finish to the far corner.

The Como side of CESC Fabregas showed spirit, with both Patrick Catrone and Gabriel Strefezza driving a decent second half chance, but the numerical disadvantages say. In the end, securing a backback title for visitors was not enough.

Naples 2-0 Cagliari

The Definition Night of the Decade at Studio Maradona ended with a celebration as Napoli’s 2-0 victory over Cagliari won the fourth Serie A title and secured the second title in three seasons.

From the start, Napoli ruled, earning 17 crosses and 72% ownership at halftime. The breakthrough came 42 minutes after the cross of Matteo’s politics met Scott Matminai.

Inter’s lead at Como made the stakes crystal clear. Naples had to win. And as the nerves tightened early in the second half, Romell Lukaku delivered a pure class moment.

Holding two defenders to meet Rrahmani’s long ball, he spiked into the box and finished low past Sherri. His shirtless celebration drew a yellow card – and deafening roars from the faithful house of the house, and from other cities.

The Conte men managed the rest of the game in their class, restricting Cagliari to single shots and nothing to targets. Napoli finished with 22 shots, but a disruption in Conte, seen from the stands, became the third coach in history, and the third coach to win a Serie A at three different clubs in Juventus, Inter and now Napoli.
