Measuring Wrexham’s movements for veteran striker Kiefer Moore

Wrexham weighs Kiefer Moore’s potential moves, and manager Phil Parkinson has confirmed that Wales International is on the club’s target list before returning to the championship.

The 32-year-old forward, who has a senior cap in his country of 49, joined Sheffield United on a three-year contract last summer, finding the net five times in Blade’s final campaign.

Talking to the BBC, Parkinson admitted that Moore is one of the players he is considering. “I’ve signed Kiefer with Sheffield United. He’s one of the many players I’ve seen in the summer,” he said.

“Landscape, like I said, changes the transfer market very quickly from one week to the next.

“We see many choices both domestically and internationally.”*

The Moore deal will add to Wrexham’s already busy transfer window, preparing for his first season in the UK’s second tier in 44 years.

Wrexham’s busy summer

The club has been greatly strengthened with the support of co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Recent arrivals include Empori’s New Zealand International Full Back Revert Case, a free transfer from Sheffield Wednesday, goalkeeper Danny Ward, striker Ryan Hardy, midfielders George Thomason and Lewis O’Brien.

The Welsh Club also approached former Manchester United and Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen earlier this summer, but these debates did not advance.

Parkinson’s side will begin their championship season at Southampton on August 9th.
