Menendez brothers’ recusAL request to fight against LA district lawyers is restinsing
Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochmann called the move “a dramatic and hopeless step” in response to the demands of convicted murderers Eric and Lyle Menendez return in the restic case.
Hochman submitted a response on Friday and insisted it. Menendez brothers They are trying to force a rejection simply because they are unhappy with the district attorney’s overall attitude towards resembling.
“In the opposition, the District Attorney’s Office argued that in a “dramatic and hopeless step,” the defense decided to “avoid the central issue of res timmensing” and present a “meritless” argument that rejects the entire district attorney’s office,” Hochman said. “The entire defence debate over Recusal is summed up in defense that is not satisfied with the current district attorney’s position on restinsing. This hopeless argument may work in press interviews, but it fails in courts based on a hostile justice system.”
Mark Jelagos, a lawyer representing the Menendez brothers, wrote in his April 25th claim that Hochman should reject himself because of a “conflict of interest.” In that filing, Geragos wrote that Hochmann “has a very different view” of resemble.

“In the prosecution’s opinion, there was no sexual abuse at all. The defendants have admitted to shootings for decades, but responsiveness is not appropriate as they continue to maintain that they have been sexually abused since childhood,” Geragos wrote. “Under the district attorney’s view, rehabilitation is impossible unless the defendant not only admits the shooting, but also dismisses the backed history of sexual abuse that reached an equally divided verdict between murder and manslaughter.”
“The refusal is appropriate because this record shows a dispute that is unlikely to receive a fair responsive hearing,” he added.
