Messi shows his class, but at the Club World Cup, Miami Trail
Lionel Messi exemplified the notion that “classes are permanent” in his first half performance against Intermiami’s age-contrary to Porto at the Club World Cup.
Miami fell late eight minutes after Sam Agehaher scored from the penalty spot, but it was 37-year-old Argentina who kept sparkling, creating two good chances for former Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez.
However, in both cases, Suarez managed to find Claudio Ramos’ body at Porto’s goal.
The Portuguese outfit hits the post just before the break, except for some magical Messi moments, which are a rather lethargic half of football.
18’Big chance! @intermiamicf Though a few inches from leveling, Claudio Ramos takes a big time! 🧤

Despite being on the frontline with over 1,000 career goals, Intermiami has not been able to find the net in the competition so far.
Palmeiras missed a 2-0 winner against Al Ahly after an hour delay due to weather concerns, losing to Messi and co. They will put the chances of going into the knockout stage with serious danger.
The MLS side will have to do so with several goals to beat the Brazilian team in the final group game and qualify for the 16th round.
