Operation Midnight Hammer It marked the biggest B-2 operational strike in history as the US aimed to deal a decisive blow to Iran’s nuclear program.

The mission began at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. This is the only operational base for the B-2 stealth bomber.

“Fox & Friends” co-host Steve Doocy visited the base on Monday and captured pride in what the service members there would do on behalf of the country.

“We are extremely proud of not only the pilots, but the maintainers, the maintainers who fueled these jets, the men and women,” said Mark Alford, a Republican lawmaker who represents the area.

“I was like, ‘What are you talking about with crazy things?’ And I am the representative of the Fourth Congressional District, representing this incredible base, not just a B-2, but an MQ-9 helicopter,” he said.

“This base is a jewel of the Department of Defense and I can represent it. I am extremely honored.”

The mission has received praise from many, but criticism from others who argued that the president should have sought Congress’ approval before taking action.

Vice President JD Vance praised military members who appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” over the weekend to carry out the mission.

“These guys flew from Missouri. They didn’t land once. They dropped a 30,000-pound bomb on a washing machine-sized target and safely went home without landing in the Middle East…”

“Whatever our politics is, we should be proud of what these people have accomplished.”
