“He and Mamiko are hoping at some point, and that’s all I know,” Roberts said. “I don’t know when he’ll come back. I don’t know when they’ll have a baby, but obviously they’re together in anticipation.”

Otani, 30, post His Instagram account In late December, he and his 28-year-old wife, a former professional basketball player from his hometown of Japan, were hoping for a baby in 2025.
“We can’t wait for a little rookie to join our family any time soon!” the December 28th post said. It included a photo showing the couple’s beloved dog, decoy, pink ruffled onesea and baby shoes and sonograms covered in baby emojis.

Otani can miss up to three games during his paternity leave. The Dodgers have a three-game series in Texas before their Monday off. They will play for the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday.
