MLB News: Twin Carlos Correa leaves game injured after a scary collision

Minnesota Twins Star Shortstop Carlos Correa left a 2-1 victory over the team’s Pittsburgh Pirates after being caught up in a horrifying clash on Target Field on Friday.
At the top of the seventh innings, The Pirates have left Fielder Tommy Femme knitted a line drive from the field wall on the right, trying to stretch the single into a double. Twin right fielder Dashaun Keaasi Jr. defended the ball from the wall and fired it at Correa with 2 bases.
Correa made athletic plays on Kielsea’s slow field and tagged Femme while daveing two bases. However, Femme’s head crashed into Correa’s ankle, and he jumped into 2 base, causing Correa’s ankle to change awkwardly.

The star shortstop went down in a mountain of pain. After a few minutes of down, he was rescued from the field by twin athletic staff and left the game.
The twins said that Correa lasted Mild ankle sprain.
Correa has played over 100 games in just six seasons in his 11-year MLB career. Last season, Correa was limited to 86 games due to concussion and plantar fascia damage.

The star’s shortstop is not up to normal standards this season as he has a batting average of .261 and a 30 RBI with a .687 OPS on seven home runs.
Throughout his career, Correa has a batting average of .274 with 194 home runs with 702 RBI at .817 OPS.

The twins are second in American League Central and Correa has struggled this season, but they can’t lose him for a long time.
The Twins (46-48) will play the Pirates (38-57) in the second game of the three-game series on Saturday at 2:10pm ET. Correa is not the starting lineup for the teams in the game.
