MP Materials counterfeits $500 million partnership with Apple for US-made recycled rare earth magnets

MP Materials Corp. (NYSE:MP) is one of Best Performance Midcap Stock ever in 2025. On July 16th, MP Materials were released on Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:aapl) Supplies sustainable rare earth magnets made in the USA. The partnership establishes both companies’ sustainable domestic supply chains. The magnets are produced entirely from 100% recycled materials.

Under the terms of this $500 million partnership, MP Material will manufacture magnets in Fort Worth, Texas, known as Independence. The recycled rare earth materials for these magnets are processed at the MP Material Mountain Pass Site in California, the only active rare earth mining and processing facility in the United States. This raw material is sourced from post-industrial waste waste and end-of-life products that include magnetic scraps and components.

This collaboration is the pinnacle of nearly five years of joint development between Apple and MP materials, during which time it pilots advanced recycling technology and ensures that recycled rare earth magnets meet Apple’s strict performance and design standards. In line with its agreement with Apple and in line with the US Department of Defense/DOD, MP Materials will expand the capabilities of the Fort Worth Magnetics facility and include a neodymium magnet production line dedicated to Apple products.
