Netanyahu’s Rubio affirms Gaza’s “common strategy” and sets the sights in Iran with a Join Statement
Secretary of State Marco Rubio advanced President Donald Trump’s “bold” plan during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday.
Rubio and Netanyahu Both highlighted in a joint statement on Sunday that Iran is the single biggest obstacle to regional peace. Netanyahu did not comment on Trump’s specific plans in Gaza, but Rubio stressed that the US and Israel could not return to a “tired” strategy that had not produced peace in the past.
“The President was also very bold about his views on what the future of Gaza should look like. He was bold and frankly, to outline courage and vision, rather than the tired ideas of the past. It was courageous and visionary. You may have shocked many people and surprised me, but the fact that you can’t continue is the same cycle of being caught up in the exact same place over and over again. That’s it,” Rubio said.
Netanyahu confirmed that he and Trump share Gaza’s “common strategy” including complete destruction of Hamas as a political and military force. He did not comment specifically Trump’s plan Develop Gaza.

“The common theme in all these challenges is Iran. It is the instability in all terrorist groups, in the area behind all terrorist groups, all terrorist groups behind all volatile acts. “It is the greatest source of the world, and is behind everything that threatens the peace and stability of millions of people. The people who call this region home are Iran,” Rubio said.

“I’m committed to buying and owning Gaza,” Trump said. “As long as we rebuild it, we can give it to other states in the Middle East and build that section. Others can do that. Hamas won’t come back. .”
