Newcastle sports director Mitchell leaves

Mitchell said: “We would like to thank everyone at Newcastle United for their support last year, including Eddie Howe, Becky Langley, players, staff, owners and fans.

“It was an honor to be part of the club and work with incredible people.

Newcastle United can announce that sports director Paul Mitchell will leave the club at the end of June 2025 with mutual consent.

Paul leaves behind the club’s finest wishes and the board would like to sincerely thank him for his professionalism and hardworking service.

“For me and the club, Darren Eels (someone who has worked very closely in my career) is moving forward very quickly.

“The club is off-field and off-field and is in a great position to continue the building.

Newcastle had an incredible season on the pitch, winning the Carabao Cup on the final day of the campaign, securing Champions League football.
