News Corp, which will extend CEO contracts until June 2030, says the company
(Reuters) – News Corp said it is extending its contract for CEO Robert Thomson. Robert Thomson said he will continue to be CEO until June 2030, the company said in a statement on Sunday.
Thomson was appointed CEO of News Corp, which owns Wall Street Journal and book publisher Harper Collins in 2013, and his contract was extended in 2023 until 2027.
Thomson has been at the helm of the company through several major transactions, including the 2024 sale of Australian cable TV unit Foxtel to the UK-owned sports network Dazn.
“Robert has helped News Corp grow and transform. His vision and leadership are extremely important as the company continues to navigate this era of rapid change,” Chairman Lachlan Murdoch said in a statement.
