After Come Ward was selected on Thursday night’s first overall pick, experts assumed that Sanders would follow immediately when the second quarterback was selected. Instead, Jaxson Dart was the second quarterback filmed when the New York Giants returned to the first round to take him at age 25.
Early in the second round, the New Orleans saints used the 40th pick to take Tyler Plow. Later in the third round, the Seattle Seahawks acquired Jalen Milroe at 92, followed by the Cleveland Browns seized Dilongabriel at 94.
Dirt, Plow, Milllaw and Gabriel are all predicted to be far behind Sanders by scouts and analysts, with early predictions that Sanders outnumber Ward at number one.
Sanders led the Big 12 Conference with 4,134 yards and 37 touchdown passes, making him the Big 12 offensive player of the year. In 50 college games, Sanders threw for 14,347 yards, 134 touchdowns and 27 interceptions.

In the NFL, this is extremely unusual for the respected quarterback’s prospect of dropping out of the third round.
Top prospects like Sanders have seen shocking slides in past NFL drafts. Aaron Rodgers slid down to his 25th overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft and was taken over by the 49ers for Alex Smith.
Patrick Mahomes had not been filmed until the 10th pick in the 2017 draft and was handed over to Mitch Trubisky at Bears. Still, at the time, Mahomes was less of a hype than Sanders.
Lamar Jackson fell to his 32nd pick in the 2018 draft after four other quarterbacks were taken before him.
But Sanders, once considered the top candidate to be number one overall this year, falling on the third day of the draft, is a historic Annamory.
To exacerbate his and his family’s problems, Sanders called a prank on the scammers during a live stream on Friday night.
He and his family were live streaming the second day of the NFL Draft Party on Twitch on Friday night, but Sanders saw him answer a call from the general manager who made the decision to draft.
The caller then told the enthusiastic young athlete that Sanders’ smile quickly disappeared, and he said, “We’ve got to wait a little longer.”
The decision of the non-draft NFL teams has prompted massive controversy and debate throughout the draft, and even before that, as rumors were made public that Sanders would defeat the draft board.
An anonymous NFL coach said recently NFL Network Sanders was “the worst official interview I’ve ever done in my life.”
“He’s very qualified. He takes unnecessary bags. He doesn’t play on time. He has a scary body language. He blames his teammates,” the coach continued. “But the biggest thing is he’s not that good.”
Another longtime AFC executive reiterated the sentiment, saying, “It didn’t work out in our interview. He wants to tell him what he’s trying to do, what he’s doing, and he makes you feel small.”

President Donald Trump joined the debate on Friday, torn apart the “silly” NFL owner who handed over the Star Colorado quarterback and allowed him to fall into the second round.
“What’s wrong with the NFL owners, are they stupid? Dion Sanders is a great college football player and even bigger in the NFL. He was also a smart coach at Streetwise! True Social Post.
He should be “selected” immediately by the team he wants to win. Wishing you good luck and say hello to your wonderful father! ”
Now, Sanders has to wait until the third day of the draft to hear his name if his name is called.
However, despite the dramatic slides, he appears to be expressing gratitude and patience for the entire process.
In a post on X late Friday night, Sanders thanked Go while the third round approached the end.
“Thank you to God for everything,” he wrote.
