Los Angeles Chargers Agent Doug Hendrickson said Thursday that Najee Harris was involved in the fireworks accident at the July 4 event.
Harris entered his first year with the charger, but maintained a “superficial eye injury.” NFL seasonadded Hendrickson.
“Najee Harris attended the July 4 event and was injured by several attendees in the fireworks accident. Najee suffered a superficial eye injury during the incident, but we are fully expected to be ready for the upcoming NFL season,” the statement said. Via ESPN.

It was not clear who the other attendees were or what their injuries were.

Harris has signed a one-year contract worth $5.25 million with offseason chargers. He is in the backfield with Hassan Haskins, Kimani Vidal, Jarrett Patterson and Rookie O’Malion Hampton.
Pittsburgh Steelers Harris was selected in the first round of the 2021 draft. He played and started playing in all games after joining the league. He ran for 4,312 yards and 28 touchdowns in 68 games.

The Chargers earned 1,882 yards and averaged 110.7 yards per game. JK Dobbins led the charger at 905 yards, while Gus Edwards ran for 365 yards. Vidal had 155 rushing yards and Haskins had 89.
