NFL News: Hope Zach Wilson launches quarterback opportunities

Wilson, 25, was traded off after three tumultuous seasons in New York, and saw no action during the 2024 season as the Denver Broncos’ third string quarterback. He went up the Miami depth chart, but for Wilson, he hopes he still has a chance to return as a starter.

“I want to look at that differently,” Wilson told reporters Monday.

“Obviously, I have nothing wrong with being a journeyman, but I believe that every time the opportunity comes, I can be a starter in this league, and I am trying to put myself in the best situation with the best teams and coaches and try to get the best situation possible.

Wilson was benched with the Jets in his second season. This is a move to clear the path of the 4th league MVP. Aaron Rogers. However, Rodgers’ season-ending injury would give Wilson another chance.

Wilson said he has not turned that around, but he has allowed time with the Broncos to develop and improve, and hopes that his time in Miami will do the same.

“What do you don’t like? Are you right? A very explosive attack, and I think they’re doing a great job, and it starts with coach (Mike) McDaniel and goes all the way to the end. Wilson has a 12-21 starter with 6,293 passes, 498 rushing yards, 57% completion rate and 23 touchdowns. He also threw 25 intercepts.
