NIH slashes vaccine reluctance research funding four years after Biden spent millions fighting “misinformation”
National Institutes of Health (NIH) is reportedly preparing to cancel dozens of research grants on vaccine hesitancy by the end of the month, just four years after the Biden administration poured millions of dollars into combating Covid-19 vaccine skepticism.
According to the internal email obtained by Washington Post This week, the agency “required ending – 3/10/25” was used to have the subject line “Received a new list of awards that need to be finished today.” It was determined that they were not in line with NIH funding priorities related to vaccine reluctance and ingestion.”
According to a report by the Post, if more than 40 grants are in the chopping block and notify researchers of the NIH termination, they should be told “don’t prioritize research activities that focus on gaining scientific knowledge about whether individuals are reluctant to get vaccinated or exploring ways to improve their vaccine interest and commitment.”

The report comes four years after the previous Biden administration spent millions fighting millions against “misinformation.” It is particularly linked to the Covid-19 vaccine in 2021.
