“No Filter” hosts rely on “Pandaring” to blow up politics and go-to celebrities
Zack Peter, host of the popular pop culture podcast No Filter, is not impressed With celebrities Someone who has become overly political recently.
On social media or on the Big Awards show stage, the Hollywood stars let viewers know where they were standing in the hot button issue, whether they wanted to know or not. Peter singled out Rachel Zegler Serena Gomez is two of the most recent vocal celebrities.
In January, Gomez posted a video on Instagram. There, she cried out about the state of immigration in the United States based on her next move.
“People are just tired of Hollywood telling us what we should do,” Peter said. Fox News Digital. “I think the last year has shown that quite a bit. I think I’m pretending to care about the signal of Hollywood virtue and the causes of these. Like Selena Gomez, when she was crying about immigration, she drips with gems and suddenly immigration is not important to her?”

“All my people are being attacked, kids,” Gomez said in tears on the Instagram video. “I don’t know. Sorry, I wish I could do something, but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. Try everything. I promise.”
She deleted the message shortly afterwards, then posted another deleted Instagram story with the caption, “It doesn’t seem okay to show empathy with people.”
“So I think people feel it’s fake, right?” Peter said. “It’s a signal of a lot of virtue. It’s a lot of pandaring that people just think are tired. We don’t want to be lectured.”
The controversial social media posts of “Snow White” star Rachel Zegler were partially criticised for their overwhelming box-office performance of the 1937 animated classic The Mouth Nouce’s Disney remake. In the months leading up to the release of the film, Zegler posted “Free Palestine” to X and wanted its president on Instagram Donald Trump And his supporters “never know peace.”

When asked how Hollywood responded to Trump’s second term, Peter once again questioned the celebrity’s motives and questioned whether they were actually helping them to resolve the issues they were ringing.
“So, when celebrities make political comments on social media, I think people have been kind of adjusted unless they’re kind of Rachel Zeggler, if they don’t come out strongly in some kind of opinion,” he said. “I think there’s a way to share your support for something without quarantining people at the same time. So I think we need it more. If you’re going to talk about it, then at least try to unite the message, rather than creating a more political division.”
“And when it becomes Trump specifically, I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t see, I don’t see much. I think I’m going to comment on how you got out and woken up using the awards stage.

While embracing her life achievement award at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, veteran actress Jane Fonda defended the phrase “awakening” simply as meaning “care.”
“It’s empathy for us (actors) to create,” Fonda said. “Our job is to get a very deep understanding of another person and get into touch with their souls.”
Despite how prominent their perches are, Peter said the influence of liberal celebrities is clearly limited based on who won the 2024 election.

“If Hollywood had the power it had, Kamala Harris would have been elected president,” Peter told Fox News Digital. “And we’re just seeing people aren’t touching on celebrities or their political statements anymore, so I don’t think they’re really shaking, especially in this new administration.”
