Now anyone can buy a Libian electric cargo van

Want to start a whisper emissions service, zero emissions food truck or other van-based business? Do these new round eyed Amazon delivery vans leave you envy greenery? Well, you’re lucky, because Libian – some of our favorite manufacturers Electric truck and SUV – Today we announced that we will begin selling commercial delivery vans to “a fleet of any size in the United States, whether one van or thousands.”

The first 10,000 examples known as the Libian electric delivery van at the time were ordered by Amazon in 2019. The online retail giant, a major Libian early investor, held exclusive rights to EDV until 2023 until the contract was fulfilled with over 20,000 EDVs. That fleet and Libyan courted the sale of electric vans to buyers of other large fleets, and began using EDVs as service vehicle platforms. Today, the Illinois-based EV announced that it will begin selling to anyone interested in electric commercial vans.

The EV cargo van comes in two flavors, with a 500 and a 700 delivery. The 500 is easier to maneuver out of two with a 478 cubic foot cargo box, a short 157.5 inch wheelbase and a small turning radius of 49.9 feet. The large 700 boasts a large 652 cubic feet box that requires a longer wheelbase (187 inches) and a wider 53.9 feet revolving circle.

Both EVs share the powertrain of the same Libyan commercial vehicle, with a single motor driving the front wheels to tunes of 320 horsepower and 299 pound-feet of torque. The listed gross vehicle weight rating is the same at 9,500 pounds, but the slightly lighter delivery 500 has the advantage of more payloads (2,663 pounds vs. 2,258 pounds) and a slight range.

While Libian electric vans are used as delivery and service vehicles, the fleet can dream of the applications needed for a spongy cargo box.
