Optimal plan to double multigigabit availability by 2028
Bestmedium size cable and fiber Internet providers have announced plans to double the plans this morning Multifigabit Footprint by 2028. This expansion includes 2,000 megabits per 2,000 megabits for cable internet users.
“Optimum is committed to enhancing residents and businesses with the fast, reliable internet services needed to thrive in a digital-first world,” says Nate Edwards, Executive Vice President of Network Services at Optimum. It stated in a statement.
Optimum is currently available to over 9 million residential and business users in 21 states. Of these, 3 million people will have access to Optimum’s 100% fiber optic internet network.

Currently, only 30% of Optimum’s networks have MultiGigabit speeds. Especially in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Optimum plans to increase its availability to 65% over the next three years.
