Palo Alto Networks agrees to buy Cyberark for $25 billion


Cybersecurity giant Palo Alto Network announced Wednesday it aims to acquire identity management and security company CyberArc for $25 billion. The transaction, which is a mixed cash and stock, marks an entrance into Palo Alto’s identity security space, according to a company’s press release.

Palo Alto has been shopping ever since Nikesh Arora took over as CEO and company chairman in 2018. According to the Financial Timesestimated that the company has spent more than $7 billion on acquisitions since Arora began. The company’s acquisition of Cyberark is the largest ever.

Other Palo Alto acquisitions include: I’ll dig up securityestimated at $400 million in October 2023. Talon Cyber Security For the estimated $625 million in November 2023. and bridgecrew $156 million in February 2021, among others.

This was one of the biggest cybersecurity transactions to date in 2025. The biggest deal is Google’s acquisition of Wiz $32 billion in March.

The Palo Alto Network did not immediately comment.
