A multinational American biotechnology company has developed a form of santonin used to treat intestinal worms. One of the founders, Elhart painted a background in candymaking, adding an almond toffee flavour to make the medicine simple. Around the same time, the company began producing citric acid, a key ingredient in popular drinks like Coca-Cola. The product eventually became a central part of Pfizer’s business and played a major role in growth over the next decades.

Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) has been struggling in recent years, with stocks exceeding 28% over the past decade. Despite this unperformance, the future looks even more promising thanks to a solid lineup of drugs under development. Many of the concerns surrounding the company seem to have already placed prices on lower stock values. Recently, Pfizer’s forward price-to-return ratio is 8.49, well below the five-year average of 10.2.

In addition to innovation, Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) is always committed to shareholder obligations. In the most recent quarter, it returned $2.4 billion to investors through dividends. Furthermore, we have increased payments for the 15th consecutive year. The company paid a quarterly dividend of $0.43 per share, and as of July 28th, it has a dividend yield of 7.08%.
