PGA Tour: Billy Hoschel removes gators from the course along with golf clubs
When you’re in Florida, be careful of gators on the golf course.

Hose Kell, a Florida Gators Alumni know everything about the reality gators meandering through the course. That’s what happened on PGA National Thursday in the first round of Cognizant Classic.

After the round, Horschel talked about the moment he went viral on social media.
“I’m not afraid of gators,” Horschel said via ESPN. “Listen, like I told most people, I said, ‘They’re more afraid of you.’ Most of the time, they chase you during a slightly aggressive mating season.

“He didn’t go anywhere,” Horschel added. “So I just went there and helped the cops.”
Horschel finished the day with four birdies, one eagle and one bogey. Bogie came to the par-4 second hole, but he returned to par, except for the par-5 third.
Horschel Birdied Holes Eight 8, 9, 10, and a bit of chilling on the back nine with a few pars, he finished the round with a birdie on the par 5 18th.
This would have been a great round in other tournaments, but there’s a few things to do as Horchel filmed an astonishing 59 to lead him after one round at 12 under.
