Liverpool today released a new home and away kit in collaboration with Adidas.
The move from Nike to the German brand was confirmed in March, and today’s supporters had the opportunity to get new products.
The kit is traditional, comes in design and colour, and incorporates features unique to Liverpool.
The club’s website states, “The latest design deeply respects Adidas’ cutting-edge performance technology and the legacy of LFC, and rethinks the meaning of wearing liver birds.
“The home shirt comes in a beautiful all-red colourway with three stripes under the sleeves and a modern crew neck collar.
“The away strip, meanwhile, nods to the classic LFC away shirt, featuring an off-white base with bold black and red details. The liver bird is surrounded by a shield, a design inspired by the shape of Anfield’s main stand since 1906.
“On the contrary of both jerseys, the 97 emblems, shrouded in eternal flames, sit proudly on the nape of their neck.”
The launch will arrive within a month Diogo Jota’s tragic death in a car accident in Spain.
The club then introduced special measures to ensure fans respect the memory of former Portugal’s advances.
“If supporters want to honor Diogo Jota by printing “Diogo J. 20” behind the shirts of the official club store and creating a football program planted to approve the official contrast of the LFC Foundation, club, earning all the profits through the official online store, adidas store locations and online stores (provided locally).
“We are pleased to announce that we are committed to providing a range of services to our customers,” said Ben Latty, LFC’s Chief Commercial Officer. “This is not just about launching new kits. It marks the beginning of a decade-long relationship between LFC and Adidas. Since the announcement of the partnership in March, this first collection sets the tone of the season.”

The new home kit will be worn Monday when hosting Liverpool with a preseason doubleheader at Anfield. The away kit will be on display for the first time at Wembley when the Premier League champions take part in FA Cup winner Crystal Palace on August 10th at Community Shield.
