Major League Baseball Dennis Santana stopped four games after shaking fans during a enthusiastic argument during a Thursday night doubleheader with the Detroit Tigers.

Santana, 29, refused to enter the details when dealing with the situation with reporters after the game, but the fans involved said they “crossed the line.”

“You know me – I’m the kind of person who hits the ball,” Santana said through an interpreter after the match. “I’ve never had any issues with any of the teams I played in. This guy crossed the line a few times.”
The incident took place during seven innings of the second game near the visitor’s bullpen. Santana was seen approaching the wall along with a security guard or officer, pointing in the direction of the fan.

That’s when the rescuer jumps up and swings to the fans.

“He crossed the line and wants to leave it there. Nothing like this has happened in his eight years of baseball,” Santana added.
Santana still appears for the Pirates as the suspension complaint is being reviewed by the league.
