The Legend of Pokemon: ZA Release Date
Legend: ZA will be available on Switch and Switch 2 on Thursday, October 16th.
ZA adds new Mega Evolutions and Rogue Mega Evolutions
Mega Evolutions was the focus of the X and Y storyline and was a major part of the competitive scene until Gen 7 was announced. X and Y have introduced 28 Mega Evolutions, with 20 more coming to Gen 3 Remakes, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. With Mega Evolution, even fully evolved Pokemon can give temporary stat boosts, new abilities, and sometimes type changes.
Legend: ZA has been added to Megas’ list, highlighting the new Mega Dragonite in the trailer. There is no details yet about whether Mega Dragonite has a change in type or what its new abilities are, but I think it has something to do with eight different wings throughout the body.
Another major change in Mega Evolution is the addition of Rogue Mega Evolutions. This is a wild Pokemon that Mega can evolve on its own. This is an interesting change from the Gen 6 game. There, the evolution of the mega was only encountered in the battle with gym leaders and equally powerful trainers.
Legend: ZA revives Lumiose fashion scene, detective work
In Pokemon X and Y, trainers can shop in different cities and customize their outfits, from hats and hoodies to socks, shoes and skirts. You can also change your hairstyle by visiting the salon. This kind of customization is back to legend. Because ZA, trailers showed trainers in a variety of styles ranging from sporty to chic.
Sign up for a variety of new styles in the Lumioth area.
Some of the post-match content for X and Y was Looker Detective Agency. Here, players were able to help Lumiose City Detection investigate some mysteries. Players can work with Emma, “The Best Detective in Lumiose.” It also appears to be a prominent adult version of the child in the Looker Bureau Missions of X and Y.
Detective Emma about the case.
Legends ZA’s detective work appears to be a system that accepts quests from people in the city who need to help with the issue, such as garbage Pokemon strolling around at a restaurant table outside.
Like members of Pokemon researchers, other Pokemon staples need to return and catch Pokemon to support her research, a suspicious criminal organization – in this case a syndicate of Kobo and his rust.
Overall, Legend ZA appears to be leaning towards urban life in Lumioth, which could be a fun taste for the game. But most of all, we hope to see newer mega evolutions and other extensions to return mechanics.
Bonus: New Pokemon Champions info
Today’s Pokemon Presents also provided some new details Pokemon Championupcoming battle-centric games that can be used on both switch and mobile devices. The game looks quite exclusively like a battle simulator, but I learned that you can pull teams from Pokemon Home or use in-game currency to recruit new Pokemon temporarily (for free) or forever.
Try Pokemon for free for a week or get it forever at a cost.
You can also train Pokemon within the champion. This allows you to adjust competitive statistics such as individual values and effort values. The Pokemon game has made many changes to make training easier and easier to spend time. This seems to be another step in that direction, although there are some questions about the currency in the game and how players can get it.
The trailer showed the cost of moving one statistical point from one statistic to another.
Pokemon Champions will be released within next year, but no exact release dates are set. I think this is an attempt to split competitive scenes from the mainline game, making it easier for people to collect and train Pokemon for competition and remove the pressure of a robust competitive system from the mainline game. You’ll find out every time you get information about Gen 10.
