Nicola founder Trevor Milton announced on social media on Thursday that he was completely pardoned by the president Donald Trump.
“Today, I was issued a complete and unconditional pardon by @Realdonaldtrump himself. He called me personally and called me,” Milton pointed out.
Associated Press The White House reported on Friday that the president confirmed Milton had forgiven.
Fox News Digital reached out to the White House on Friday, but did not receive a response by the time of publication.

Another December 2023 DOJ press release pointed out that Milton was sentenced to four years in prison. The AP said he was not locked up, but is awaiting appeal.
